Lo and behold! The recently introduced Kudos module has gotten a new feature. It’s time to spread company culture. Now, you are free to choose the core values of the company that will be promoted among your employees. The question then arises…
Many people ask us: how to play GetBadges for better motivation and engagement our employees? We prepared a small introduction manual which will explain basics of our game.
Note: this manual is dedicated to IT teams. For sales teams we will have another manual that will be released really soon.
– best practices that we promote using our game
– description of the Dungeon module – a new way of teamwork
– description of Kudos – how to express gratitude in your company
– description of user’s profile and company’s activity board
Manual will also guide you in exploring the game and making most out of it. Send it to your team and see for yourself how GetBadges can help your company.
You probably know a lot about gamification, so I’m going to give you a practical way to use it for motivation your team thanks to GetBadges motivation system.
Sales people love numbers. Show them those numbers! How many emails they’ve sent? How many calls they did? Meetings with clients they have attended? We prepared missions – “Badges” – based on various salesman activities. Your teammates can earn them and we show them their progress. You can get an automatically setup main mission – defeating a monster – your team can fight with them with cooperative actions. Your team get special points called adrenaline thanks to positive actions like closing deals, making calls and sending emails. Continue reading Boost your sales team productivity in a fun way!
We have recently released a long-promised feature – big screen dashboard that can be shared among the team.
It shows recent badges, events, and current monster status. We wanted for players to push a commit and see their work affecting the game.
Soon after we received a lot of questions about running it on a Raspberry Pi hooked up to a 1080p television. GetBadges does not support Raspbian default browser (called simply Web, in reality – a version of Epiphany). However, in Raspbian repositories you can actually find Firefox. Some time ago I’ve asked my advisor, Piotr Grobelny, Project Manager, what in his opinion are the symptoms of software project management issues.
Here is his list:
- The people involved in project don’t understand the project objectives
- The communication between them is disrupted.
- Appears lack of crucial competences or human resources.

We are happy to announce, that our beta API was released today!
The main goals to release an API was:
- you want to integrate your custom tools and
- to handle other popular integrations we are not supporting yet.
One of our graphic designers designed 7 new outfits for our monsters. We’ve already explained how our badges work and on this occasion, we’d like to present new looks and say a few words about our monsters and compulsion loop that can motivate developers.
Where can I add my ideas?
We try to shape our product based on gamers’ needs so we are open to any feedback and suggestions. Below please find our public Trello board where you can add new ideas and vote on existing ones as well.
Can we just collect badges or we have to fight a monster?
Fighting a monster is optional – you fight it only if you spawn it or create one in Monster Creator.
I have a tool that is not supported by GetBadges. What are the chances you will integrate this tool?
Just get in touch with us and we’ll make it happen.
Are you interested in customizing your IT team workflow with GetBadges? Very well, let’s do it 🙂
